Inspiration

Stanley Milgram's experiments

Milgram famous electric shock experiment has inspired us to come up with the software equivalents of such experiments. Software being much more moldable, we didn't stop there, of course. We created apps to conduct social experiments and after linking them together terraform cultures... and even create alternate realities.

1

Conformity

This one is Milgram's mentor, Solomon Asch's experiment where he put someone in an elevator with others facing the wrong direction. It's amazing to watch the person facing the right direction lost his individuality little by little to adapt to the group's orientation.

2

Obedience

It turned out people under the supervision of an authority figure can do all kinds of nasty things like electrocuting each other as long as they get approval when they need it. Interestingly, well educated people performed as bad as their blue collar counterparts.

3

Separation

Yet another Milgram experiment where he proved a package addressed to a stranger will be be delivered in six steps no matter how distant the receiver seems to be both culturally and physically. This concept laid the foundation of today's social media platforms.

"Bad management always beats good workers"

Builders of Worlds

When you are done with terraforming cultures, you can create chaos on a much larger scale.

Brave New Worlds

You can inject short stories designed to tempt readers into using the associated apps to spice up their boring lives. Remember what they say, "Either find a way or make one!" Why don't you click the button below and read page one of an upcoming story... and imagine a way out of your current reality? 😘

Reality Check

While truth is one, our interpretations of it are many. That's why we can't understand each other, because we are all products of our clinging past and imagined futures, trying to get away from a point A we don't really understand towards a point B that may not exist, Start by understanding one another focusing on bad experiences.

Something from Nothing

What if I told you that we have found a way to build the Abacus version of the Matrix? You know, that alternate reality which can be shaped by what you want and what you want to avoid. How about you create your very own Utopia and live there? Did we tell you it's free... and it comes with a novel... an erotic sci-fi thriller to be exact?

Scroll down to download the app and the book for free!

Something from Nothing

This was our experiment to develop a foundation for creating alternate realities. You can imagine it as the Abacus version the Matrix where the architect has finally beaten Neo. 😊 The project was accepted to the famous Startup School of Y Combinator. The first version's goal was to prove our theory which worked perfectly. So, we celebrated the result by releasing the requirement model of the app in the form of an erotic sci-fi thriller which also included the source code. 😘 We are in the process of porting the app to .NET MAUI. The second version will be so much better. In the meantime why don't you read the novel?

We heard you liked origin stories.

Something from Nothing has a soundtrack of sorts.
